Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
I've been away from the blog for a few weeks, and in that time I have done a lot of thinking.
I am considering whether to put an end to the blog. Before I make a decision, I wanted to ask if anyone out there who actually does read this blog, do you find any benefit to it?
I do genuinely want to know, if anyone reading this actually does find use from my postings or not, or am I just writing away to myself?
If there are regular readers, I would appreciate you taking a moment of your time to leave a small comment and let me know if you do find any benefit / help / use from this blog?
I really don't know whether to close the doors on this, or to continue?

Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
DeleteJazakAllahu khayr for your reminder
Absolutely a sadaka jariya sister , and as umme Salahuddin mentioned , there are only few islamic homeschooling blogs and groups so you closing the blog means only fewer islamic knowledge for us and others to benefit from
ReplyDeleteso please sister dont close it Unless it is interfering with your daily life and causing you hardship , in that case we understand
may Allah reward you for your lovely work
jazak Allah khayr sister
JazakAllahu khayr for your advise ukhtee
DeletePlease continue...! This is a very good resource for muslim moms with little kids. Keep the spirit up sister :)
ReplyDeleteJazakAllahu khayr for the motivation sis!
DeleteAssalamu walaikum Sister!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blogs! If you decide to stop doing it I would love to keep in touch as I have recently started homeschooling and appreciate all the advice and support you give for other homeschooling families! Thank you for all of the time you put into doing it! I know I certainly appreciate it!! :D
Insha'Allah you can keep up the great work!! :)
Wa'alaikum asalaam wa rahmatullah,
DeleteAlhamdulillah barakAllahu feeki! Enjoy your homeschooling days sis!
I love your blog so please don't stop!
ReplyDeleteMany greetz from Holland and Belgium
Happy greetings to my European neighbours!
DeleteWa alaikum salaam. I am not homeschooling, but I do get a lot of info and ideas (even for my toddler) so I feel that if I ever go that route, I will have enough pros and cons to make an informed decision. Keep on blogging if it does not interfere with any of your other activities. Are you concern that you are not been followed? Is it that your question is really to us, your readers: how committed are we to the blog?
ReplyDeleteAlhamdulillah its nice to know not only homeschoolers are benefiting!
DeleteThe blog is a funny thing - it started as a more personal account of my homeschooling experience however, when people localy figured out who I am, I didn't seem comfortable to write so personaly as you don't want people knowing everything you are doing in your own four walls!
So the direction changed in the way that I try to provide materials and resources which may benefit other parents, homeschoolers and educators inshaAllah. - however this requires a little more effort on my part. I am happy for silent readers Alhamdulillah, I just wanted to see if people really do find any benefit or not before I considered leaving the blogasphere!
Assalamualaikum sister, I'm one of those silent readers and I too love your blog, May Allah swt grant you and your family success in this life and the hereafter for all the resources you have shared with us.
ReplyDeleteI've benefited soooo much sister with your advice and ideas, not to mention the wonderful lapbooks. Its actually taken you to say you will stop the blog that I've come and thank you for this subhannallah please forgive, please try and carry on sis, unless like the previous sister said it's becoming a hardship for you, then we understand, but please could you keep the blog up, so we can carry on and benefit and find inspiration when we're feeling down with our homeschool days!
wa alaikum asalaam wa rahmatullah,
DeleteJazakAllahu khayr for writing sis. Don't worry I am happy for silent readers sis. Alhamdulillah I just wanted to check of anyone is out there benefiting before I made a final decision about leaving the blog.
BarakAllahu feeki
Assalaamu'alaikum sister,
ReplyDeleteMashaAllah please do continue, it's a very cute blog. I regularly read your posts and find the general information about homeschooling very informative, the only reason I don't currently make full use of it is that my only son is just 10 months old so I don't have need for all the resources just yet but inshaAllah I will do in the future.
Keep it up sister, sometimes thoughts about quitting pop up in one's mind but you'll never feel bad that you kept trying, you'll only feel bad about quitting. InshaAllah if there is anything you'd like from your readers more in the way of feedback then let us know, or perhaps you could try to get others on board too?
With love as your sister in Islam
wa alaikum asalaam wa rahmatullah,
DeleteAww enjoy your son while he is young mashaAllah! This is the easy bit Alhamdulillah!
JazakAllahu khayr for your advise sis.
Asalam allakum sis, please continue I find your blog very helpful and supportive I believe many people will agree on this.I know many who have benefited from your blog including myself Jazzaki Allahu khairan! Plus, there are not many muslim homeschooling blogs out there so it would be so sad to see a one of a kind blogger leave!

Please don't leave. But if you decide to leave, please leave the blog in tact. Maybe you can share the free version (.blogspot.com) of the website with us so you don't have to handle domain. Then it can stay forever and be good use to us.
ReplyDeleteI think I will continue inshaAllah, just maybe not as often - and move towards a direction of working on non-computer designed projects instead inshaAllah
DeleteAssalamu 'alaikum sister. It would be a great benefit to a lot of homeschooling parents, if you kindly keep the blog open and keep on benefiting us with your findings. Your hard work is not going unnoticed. May Allaah grant you and your family success and ease in this life and the next. Ameen
ReplyDeletewa a'laikum asalaam wa rahmatullah,
Deletewa'iyyaki. alhamdulillah
I'm recently married and when I have kids, in sha Allah, I sure hope to homeschool them! I'm already researching about it and blogs like yours are incredibly helpful! Please do continue your wonderful work! We need people like you!
ReplyDeleteasalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
DeleteMay you have a successful and happy marriage!
بارَكَ اللّهُ لَك، وَبارَكَ عَلَـيْك، وَجَمَعَ بَيْـنَكُما في خَـيْر May Allah bless for you (your spouse) and bless you, and may He unite both of you in goodness."
salaam....please do not give up this work....Inshallah it will be sadakah jariah for you. Even if one family benefits then Inshallah you are successful. Theres a hadith about saving one life and you have saved the whole of mankind.... You can save someone from the Hell Fire inshallah....
ReplyDeletewa'alaikum asalaam wa rahmatullah,
DeleteJazakAllahu khayr for your advise and reminder.

ReplyDeleteAssalamualikum ukhti,
ReplyDeleteJust came across your thought of closing the blog.
Though I saw it quite late but am sooooo glad you are still there!!!
Whenever i read on your blog or use your free stuff I naturally make dua for you. It just comes out from the heart!
Like the other sisters mentioned there are not many Muslim homeschool blogs.
So PLEASE continue with the good work and I pray the Allah rewards you from every benefit a sister gets. Ameen
I love to use your blog. I am homeschooling my son and your resources are useful. I've told my friends about it too. InshaAllah you get great reward for all your great efforts.
ReplyDeleteOne of the best homeschool blogs I know of, would be very sad if you would stop.
ReplyDeleteAsalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah,
ReplyDeleteJazakAllahu khayrun for all your comments and feedback. It has been appreciated!
InshaAllah, I intend to continue blogging for now but without pressuring myself to produce content! If it happens it happens, and if not, then not Alhamdulillah!
Asalaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah sister,
ReplyDeleteYour blog is absolutely amazing and it sort of gives me motivation to do the same for my children. The resources and ideas you provide are great. May ALLAH SWT reward you immensely as you are not only raising your own children as good people of the ummah but also helping other mothers who are not so innovative and creative but still want to educate their children in the best possible way.
JazakALLAH and please carry on.
Wa'alaikum asalaam wa rahmatullahi wa barakatu,
DeleteAlhamdulillah all good that is found is purely from Allah, and all the errors are from myself!
May Allah guide myself and my kids and you and your children.
JazakAllahu khayr for taking a moment to comment.
