EDIT: Before you continue reading, the Homeschool With Confidence course has been relaunched. You can check out the brief overview here on the blog and find the detailed description and enrollment on the course page.
Are you looking for a beginners guide to help you start home educating or are you already in the homeschool trenches and in need of a reboot to help you fall back in love with it?
How would it feel to start building the homeschool of your dreams insha'Allah? One inspired by your own unique family; not mine or anyone else's; but yours (is this sounding too cheesy?).
Alhamdulillah following the success of the beta group who just recently completed this course, I've decided to rerun it after Ramadan and it is going to be BIGGER, better and more supportive than before insha'Allah.
We have jumped from the original 4 week workshop and grown into a 16 week course that is designed to provide you with detailed information, support and guidance all in the same place so that you can focus on building a happy thriving homeschool you are confident, excited and passionate about bi'ithnillah.
It is perfect for mums in the early stages of homeschool and mums preparing to start in the future as well as current home educating mums in need of a boot camp reboot and inspiration boost. I have to tell you I went through a massive homeschool reboot myself when putting this course together which makes me even more excited to share with you again second time round.

What this course sets out to do insha'Allah
Ever since I jumped into home education a decade ago I've always believed we could benefit from training-day-kind-of-events in the same way that teachers have training days in school. Not because the home educator is a teacher, but rather it is the concept of pursuing opportunities to continue our professional development. It was the desire to keep growing my homeschool understanding and find motivation that I always craved.
This course will do just that for you with so much more insha'Allah!
Over sixteen weeks (that's just shy of four months!) we will explore some guiding principles to help you kick start your adventure or provide a reboot. Not so that you won't make mistakes (we all do), and not so that I can tell you the right way to home educate (because there isn't one); but so that you can step into your homeschool and build it up with greater certainty in your ability to succeed insha'Allah knowing what options are available to you.
Why this course?
When you want to understand home education, it is not the teachers or the educationists who can help with information and support. Yes they can certainly benefit. But it isn't these who can provide a comprehensive understanding of educating at home. When you want to know about homeschool then you have to go to the homeschooling mum.
The homeschool mother is what I like to call the university professor to everything that is homeschool. This course will provide you with everything you need to find your homeschool feet all in one place. My objective is not to provide a one-size-fits-all doctrine to getting the best of homeschool. My objective is to help you carve a path that meets the individual needs of your family. There isn't one-size-fits-all approach and this is the beauty of home education.
I have combined my experience as a home educator together with my work speaking to and supporting mums accross the world since 2011, to design a course that will help you find the answers that meet the unique needs of your family; not mine or anyone else's....because there are no two homeschools that are the same.
As cliche as it may sound, putting this course together really has been a labor of love for me. I have gained a wealth of experience over the past decade that I am passionate about sharing and trained as a coach to help me do this effectively insha'Allah.
I've put together a series of 16 Master Classes that will:
- Introduce and explain home education; addressing what homeschool is and more importantly what it is not.
- Bust the common homeschool myths and misconceptions that hold people back and extended families often worry about.
- Show you how to address your homeschool fears and beat them so they don't overpower you bi'ithnillah.
- Explore why deschooling is important for you as well as your child (because even if your children have not been to school; you have).
- Introduce and explain popular homeschool methods and warn against that which is harmful to the Muslim.
- Look at how we can adapt popular homeschool methods to suit the Muslim home.
- Explain what Education Philosophies are and help you to write your own.
- Show you how you can build your homeschool routine that brings about consistency and ease
- Explore popular strategies to homeschool organisation
- Guide you through simple lesson planning principles (even if you hate to plan...I got you covered)
- Show you how to create a homeschool space that invites curiosity and sparks interest - no matter the size of your home or budget
- Guide you to create your own homeschool map to meet the individual needs and goals of your family
- Support you as a home educator
16 Homeschool Master Classes for the Muslim Mum
Each week offers a new Master Class that you can join in live for or view the replay any time more convenient to you. Whether you show up to the live class or catch the recordings later you're still able to ask your questions and interact with fellow participants in our own private forum (it is not Facebook since I know many of you don't like to use it).
My mission is to make things easy for you and so each class is accompanied by a set of carefully presented detailed notes so that you don't have to worry about missing anything important.
Week 1: Introducing Home Education
Our first week introduces the concept of home education, which is often confused for being school-at-home so we will address what it is and what it is not.
Week 2: Benefits Of Homeschool

Home education has many misconceptions. In this class we will bust the 9 most common homeschool myths that hold many people back from starting and families often worry about.Week 4: Deschooling Explained
It can be really difficult to shake off and break away from the school mindset. To help you do this it is important to go through a deschooling process....even if your child has never been in school; because you have. In our fourth class together we'll walk you through deschooling your children if they have been in school, as well as deschooling yourself.
Week 5: Facing Your Homeschool Fears
It is not uncommon to have anxieties around home educating your family. Fears can be helpful by keeping you on your toes, however they shouldn't hold you back. In the Facing Your Homeschool Fears class, we'll explore your worries around homeschooling so we can crush them one by one insha'Allah.
Week 6: Homeschool Styles

Week 8: Building Your Routine
Confused by schedules and routines. You'll discover the difference between each and learn the easy way to build up your homeschool day in a sustainable way.
Week 9: Creating A Morning Basket
Morning basket, morning time and circle time are all used to mean the same thing; a period of time where the family comes together to start the day with read alouds, games and gentle learning activities. In this class we'll take a deep-dive to look at how you can start one in your home no matter the age of your children; from tots to teens.
